Pat Cain Abstract Mixed Media Paintings

Recent Paintings — Oil, Acrylic & Mixed Media

Pat Cain creates original abstract paintings built from layers of color, texture, and gesture. Each piece balances spontaneity with structure—marks, glazes, and scumbles that suggest place without pinning it down. For collectors and galleries, high-resolution images and additional details are available on request; shipping and exhibition coordination can be arranged.

Artist Statement:

My non-representational paintings come from within and are influenced by my life experiences. I explore gesture, atmosphere, and memory through layered color and texture. The work moves between abstraction and place—coastal horizons, shifting light, and human presence—inviting viewers to feel the space between what’s seen and what’s remembered.

About Pat Cain

Following a career teaching art in Michigan public schools and earning a master’s degree in painting, Pat began painting full time. Her work has been shown in Detroit-area and northern Michigan galleries and in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is represented in numerous public and private collections.

Her nonrepresentational paintings are informed by lived experiences. Rather than offering an overt message, the work invites viewers to encounter the paintings on their own terms—to see, feel, and respond personally.

Original work—made to live with you.
